Annie Laura Brittain will be forever 24. She was born in Los Angeles County, California, the first born of Joseph Wesley Brittain and Janet Ambrose Brittain. She left behind her little sister, Cheryl Azalee Brittain, and her brother and sister-in-law, James and Stephanie Brittain. Annie loved her papa and granny,James Basil and Azalee Ambrose. As Annie always said, they never judge me, they only love me.
Annie was absolutely beautiful in heart and spirit. She was a Christian and a talented artist, writer, and skater. She took great pride in being a good waitress. She loved her customers, and they loved her.
When Annie died, an attorney from Carlsbad New Mexico called to extend his sympathies. He told me that he had met her at Denny's and fell in love with her. I asked why he loved my daughter. He instantly replied, "She was Carlsbad's Godsent. I never met anyone as openly honest and innocent as Annie. Carlsbad needed her. She was so different than everyone else in town. Everything about Annie was beautiful."
