Deborah J. Carpenter, 54, 20957 Oxford St., died Tuesday evening in Syracuse, after being involved in a motor vehicle accident earlier in the day.
Born on September 7th, 1954 at the Lowville Hospital, the daughter of Billy and Helen Fuller Russell, she was raised in Carthage and graduated from Carthage Central High School in 1974. She married James L. Carpenter on November 8th, 1989. Mr. Carpenter died on May 12th, 2003. She worked as a cashier and sales associate for LCI on Fort Drum. She loved her family and was a devoted mother.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer Carpenter, Watertown, Brittany Carpenter, Carthage, Brian Washburn, Clarksville, Tennessee and Jamie Russell, Evans Mills, a granddaughter, Ariona Roderique, Watertown. Also surviving are her brothers, Terry Russell, Evans Mills, Paul Russell, Florida and Doug Russell, Carthage.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 9th at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage, NY with the Rev. Anthony P. Niger II, Pastor of the Calvary Assembley of God, Carthage, officiating. Burial will follow the service in Fairview Cemetery, Carthage. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, May 8th from 2 -4 & 6-8 PM.
