Loving mother and grandmother, Ginger L. Griffiths, 54, of Ashtabula, OH, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 17, at the home of her daughter in Ashtabula. She was born March 26, 1952, in Conneaut, OH, and was the daughter of Edgar S. and Viola (Armstrong) Erdman.
A Conneaut resident most of her life, Ginger attended Knoedler School of Nursing and has worked since 1986 as a licensed practical nurse in several facilities throughout the county. Most recently she has spent her time caring for and enjoying spending time with her family and grandchildren. She very much enjoyed doing arts and crafts, and as a child, also enjoyed dancing.
Survivors include four daughters, Toni Iorio of Conneaut, OH, Raffaela Iorio, Christina Cooper, and Holli (Mike) McFadden all of Ashtabula; 14 grandchildren, Heather, Justine, and Jordyn Paneto; Curry, Tre, Kurdell, and Shakur Williams; Shayla, Vincent, and Drake Jackson, Jadyn, Jacee, Shane, and Teegan McFadden. Also surviving are her mother Viola Erdman; two sisters, Jodi (Drew) Acierno and Judy (Tom) Church of Conneaut; two brothers, Edgar “Butch” (Cecelia) Erdman of Wellsburg, WV, and Terry (Pauline) Erdman of Colliers, WV; a number of nieces and nephews; and her companion Santos Rivera.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1982; a brother Raoul “Sandy” Erdman in 1943; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Graveside service will be at 11:30 AM, Thursday, December 21, in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, OH, officiated by Brother Harold Adams of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Friends may call at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH, on Wednesday, December 20, from 6 to 8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
